Care Package Ideas
- People ask me all the time what I would like in a care package... below are a few ideas. Also, using USPS Flat Rate Box is the cheapest way!
- Hot sauce, Tapatio and/or shiracha
- Pretty much any type of food you just have to add boiling water to... I basically just have a small camping stove to wrok with!
- Small cheap toys, for my host siblings... (new born, 2 yr old boy, 5 yr old girl, 8 yr old boy, 10 yr old boy, 14 yr old girl)
- Pictures... of you and your family, Malians LOVE looking at pictures of "my white people"
- Books
- Make up, especially a small hand held mirror
- Magazines... People, The Week and any trashy tabloids!
- Mixed Cd's of new music, All types
- Fast food packets, Taco bell, Arbys, soy sauce, ketchup...
- Dried Fruit/ Fruit Snacks
- Snack foods... individual sized bags are perfect
- Drink Mixes
- Beef jerky, Cocktail Peps, Pepperoni sticks
- Cheese! Squeeze oheese or anything that slightly resembles it!
